| RESUMO | |
| O objetivo desse trabalho foi apresentar urna nova técnica para a obtencáo da oclusáo
balanceada bilateral, estabilizando a prótese através de esferas, a qual tem no seu principio de desenvolvimento
o objetivo de suprir as deficiencias existentes nas outras técnicas. Foi realizado um caso clínico com o intuito
de mostrar sua utilizacáo em um paciente totalmente edéntulo. Foi discutido dentre seus aspectos funcionáis, o
estabelecimento do equilibrio físico verdadeiro, através de tres pontos de contatos, e o seu caráter deslizante
nos movimentos excéntricos, além do aspecto natural dos dentes anteriores. Os autores concluíram que a utilizacáo
desta técnica forneceu ao paciente um padráo de contato deslizante com equilibrio real nos movimentos excéntricos,
resultando em maior estabilidade e, provavelmente, menor esforco muscular durante a funcáo.

| The aim of this study was to present a new technique for the acquisition of the balanced
bilateral occlusion, stabilizing the denture through spheres, which has as its principle of development the
objective of surpassing the deficiencies existing in the other techniques. A clinical case was performed with
the intention of demonstrating its application to a totally edentulous patient. Among the functional aspects discussed
were the establishment of a true physical equilibrium, through three contact points, the gliding character
of eccentric movements, as well as the natural aspect of anterior teeth. The authors concluded that the
utilization of this technique offered the patient a gliding contact with real balance in eccentric movements
resulting in greater stability and probably smaller muscular effort during function.
