RESUMEN

This article describes a technique for fabricating cement-retained crowns over a customized gingival-colored composite resin screw-retained implant infrastructure. This prosthetic design is not significantly influenced by unsuitable implant position, alignment, or angulation. Consequently, the cement-retained crowns can be reproduced in an esthetically and functionally appropriate morphology, regardless of where the screw-access openings are located in the infrastructure. SUMMARY

This report describes an alternative technique for fabricating a customized screw-retained infrastructure using gingiva-colored composite resin to replace lost soft tissue and bone to correctly position the cement retained crowns on the framework. This type of prosthesis can be used when the desired implant positions or alignments are compromised due to severe alveolar resorption. This technique avoids surgical bone augmentation and the use of implant-supported overdentures.
