We analyzed the work of post-graduate dental clinical training course at Chiba hospital
between 2003 and 2005 in terms of number of cases handled, type of treatment given and total number of dental
technical materials produced. The results showed slight tendency toward less periodontal treatment and more
endodontic and removable prosthodontic treatment than the national average given by general dentists in Japan.
Number of dental technical materials decreased yearly, and in 2005 was about 1/4 that in 2003. We must work
toward securing and treating more cases and increasing number of dental technical materials produced in
improving clinical training.
