A 54-year-old man with a folly edentulous jaw had reconstructive therapy for occlusion consisting of a complete
denture for the upper jaw and dental implant treatment for the lower jaw. Six implants were installed in the lower jaw. At the time of
implant placement the initial torque value of all implants was more than 40N. and resonance frequency analysis values were more than 60.
Therefore a screw retained temporary supra-structure was applied on the implants in the lower jaw immediately. After a healing period, the
final supra-structure was applied. At the 3-year postoperative examination, the soft tissue around the implants was clinically healthy and
a constant bone level was observed around the implants radiographically. We believe that it is possible to shorten the healing period
for osseointegration by appropriate selection of case property and proper treatment procedure in implant therapy. (The Shikwa Gakuho, 108 :153- 158, 2008)
